There are some of my tomato plants for this season, tucked away for the moment behind the planter of flowers. When that pic was taken a few days ago, there was windy and stormy weather on its way, so I tried to tuck them into the corner as best I could.
I’ve got some red cherry tomatoes, and also some yellow cherry tomatoes, which I’ve never tried before. I don’t think I’ve ever really eaten yellow tomatoes before either, so it’s a new thing. I also have some sweet banana yellow pepper plants. I think they are supposed to be on the sweeter side (upon rereading, obviously, duh, hence the word ‘sweet’ in their name), and that’s about all I know about them. I haven’t tried growing pepper plants before, so we shall see. I still have some planting to finish up this weekend, but it will be nice to get everything in the ground, so to speak. 😉
I love having fresh tomatoes, even though the actual eating season seems too short. I’ve been enjoying some fresh basil with tomato and cheese sandwiches lately, thanks to my thriving basil plant, as seen below. 🙂
