Well, the old food processor is still in the cupboard. I do believe that its motor was winding down… With the last batch of pesto that I made, I could hear it straining and feel it slowing down. For the new food processor, we replaced a 2-cup sized one with this 7-cup. I must say, the blades are nice and sharp and new. I like the look of the black and stainless steel over the white of the old one, too. And, the grater/shredder wheel is all metal, unlike the metal/plastic of the older version. This one just feels like a stronger, hardier food processor.
Here’s a preview of my next post, featuring Pesto – Batch Two. With this batch, I added Sun-Dried Tomatoes to the mix. I also measured my ingredients, and found a proper order-of-ingredients for mixing everything together. The pic above on the right is actually from that batch. It shows the first step: Garlic Cloves and Parmesan Cheese… 😉 The basil below was this weekend’s collection from my basil plant… it really is thriving beautifully!
Oh, and I should be baking a Blueberry Kiwi Bread this week. It’s been awhile since I’ve baked anything, and years since I’ve made this recipe. However, I’m hoping that it will turn out well. I remember it being very yummy, so here’s hoping that it still is.
